Sr Process Safety Engineer
Job Specification
This is the first level of full specialization in an HSE area with wide senior level experience. Alternatively may be the level at which an individual acts as team leader, or work task force leader of a small group of HSE personnel. Incumbents require application of mature technical knowledge in planning, conducting and coordinating difficult, responsible projects or assignments.
The ability to modify established guidelines and initiation of new approaches is necessary. Make independent decisions in planning, organizing and completing assignments. Work is reviewed for soundness of judgement but accepted technically as accurate and feasible.
Accountabilities may include:
Provide rule development, standardization of business practices, coordination of program implementation.
Leadership abilities in support of HSE activities.
Evaluate performance and risk exposure data and external factors.
Mentor other junior HSE staff.
