Mechanical Supervisor, Abu-dhabi

We have a job opening for the position of “Mechanical  Supervisor” in one of the Company located in “Abu-dhabi”
 
Experience-. 6 years experience in maintenance techniques
 
 
Qualification:   Secondary technical education certificate followed by 3 years formal training in mechanical trades.

Job Purpose                                                                            

 Oversees the mechanical works undertaken  covering maintenance and major overhauls of a wide range of pumps, diesel engines, compressors and air blowers related to turbine jobs. Prepares the 1st inspection report of machines coming for repairs and decides on qualified contractors to do the job and on the required spares either through free issue or by local manufacturing. 

 Principal Accountabilities:  Directs, coordinates and controls either maintenance or overhaul works for machinery equipment such as: pumps, air blowers …etc., or fabrication jobs required for static equipment such as: vessels, storage tanks, valves …etc. Receives work requests, plans course of action, determines priorities and directs implementation. 
 Receives work requests through Supervisor and accordingly prepares necessary work orders. Prepares loading note and sends equipment to be stripped down in contractor’s workshop floor under close supervision. Prepares the 1st inspection report in coordination with the contractor. Sends requests to Topside Facility Integrity Department, in case of major damages, for further analysis/investigation of failure’s cause. Reports required action to concerned sites with full details of the cause of failure and provides scope of work to contractors.
 
 Arranges all required available spare parts in stock and provides contractors with necessary drawings/documents to ensure that unavailable spare parts are manufactured locally. Issues service orders through system and obtains approvals prior to awarding the job. Ensures that function tests are completed, wherever possible, at the contractor’s workshop and that the equipment are brought back to stores for despatch to sites.
 
 Arranges all spare parts required for maintenance of related equipment and ensures minimum spares are kept in stock for urgent operational requirements. Coordinates with Commercial Division to ensure spares availability on time. Receives Commercial inquiries on spares and recommends acceptable prices/dates. Ensures long term delivery spares are locally manufactured for urgent jobs to avoid operational interruptions.
